Taylor and Francis Secret Files

The Library is now providing access to the e-resource Taylor and Francis Secret Files: From World Wars to Cold War.

Spanning four key twentieth-century conflicts, with a spotlight on the Second World War, Secret Files from World Wars to Cold War provides access to British government secret intelligence and foreign policy files from 1873 to 1953. Sourced from The National Archives, U.K., the range of documents – from signals intelligence reports to government-directed policy and strategy – will support teaching and research from the period of Appeasement right through to the early Cold War.

Cambridge Companions

As part of the Cambridge Core collection, the Library is now offering access to a wealth of new titles within the Cambridge Companions series.

Cambridge Companions are a series of authoritative guides, written by leading experts, offering lively, accessible introductions to major writers, artists, philosophers, topics, and periods.

The Library is providing access to
  •     over 350 Cambridge Companions to Literature and Classics
  •     70 Cambridge Companions to Music
  •     and 10 Cambridge Companions to Philosophy, Religion and Culture

World Nature Conservation Day

Celebrated on July 28 each year, World Nature Conservation Day recognizes that a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and productive society and to ensure the well-being of present and future generations, we all must participate to protect, conserve, and manage our natural resources.

To celebrate this day, the Library would like to draw your attention to some of our excellent online resources, including the Credo Literati Environment Collection, EBSCO's GreenFILE and, of course, Academic Search Premier.  

This is in addition to some great electronic journals such as, from Taylor and Francis, the Journal of the Institute of Conservation, and from Springer, the Journal of Coastal Conservation.

ProQuest Art and Architecture Archive

The Library is now providing access to the ProQuest resource Art and Architecture Archive.  

This resource is a full-text archive of magazines comprising key research material in the fields of art and architecture, dating from the late-nineteenth century to the twenty-first. Subjects covered include fine art, decorative arts, architecture, interior design, industrial design, and photography. The magazines are scanned from cover-to-cover and presented as full-color page images; detailed indexing permits quick, efficient searching and navigation of this material.
