March 21st is World Poetry Day. The purpose of the day is to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world and, as the UNESCO session declaring the day says, to "give fresh recognition and impetus to national, regional and international poetry movements".
The Library has many excellent resources on offer to help you celebrate this special day. From ProQuest, there is the ever popular Literature Online and, from EBSCO, there is of course Academic Search Premier which touches upon a wide range of subjects including literature.
Beyond that, we have many great e-journals including, from Taylor & Francis, the Journal of Poetry Therapy and American Poetry Review.
And, of course, we have many fine print publications on poetry and a wealth of other subjects. Keep your eyes open for some wonderful publications as part of our non-academic reading collection.
Don't forget to check Library Search for all your Library needs.
