World Book Day 2017

World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

What better place to spend World Book Day than in the Library?  As well as a wealth of fabulous electronic resources, such as Literature Online and EBL - Ebook Public Access Library and e-journals such as ProQuest's Journal of Children's Literature and, from EBSCO, Journal of Modern Literature, we also have, of course, thousands of BOOKS.  From classics of the past to classics of the present, our shelves boast the work of such great authors as:-

  • Charles Dickens
  • William Shakespeare
  • Charlotte Bronte
  • H.G. Wells
  • Ian Fleming
  • Stephen King
  • J.K. Rowling
and many, many more.  Keep your eyes open for our forthcoming non-academic reading collection.

Don't forget to check to check Library Search for all your Library needs.
