Box of Broadcasts were experiencing an issue with their programme guide from Monday morning at 11.30am, which meant users weren’t able to request programmes from the guide going forward. They have been working hard to fix the issue, and the programme guide became available again on Wednesday 16 November at 10.00pm.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this outage might have caused.
This problem was due to a technical fault with their server that captures broadcasts. As a result, content will not be recoverable from a number of channels between Monday 14 November at 11.30am and Wednesday 16 November at 9.30pm.
All BBC TV and radio channels are served by the BBC Archive link, so users will start being able to request BBC content within 24 hours of broadcast.
They are also able to upload content broadcast on ITV 1, Channel 4, More 4 and Channel 5 during the affected period, from their off-air recording back-up service. Please get in touch with them at firstname.lastname@example.org to request uploads. Any uploads will not eat into your institution’s off-air quota.
Content broadcast on all other channels between Monday 14 November at 11.30am and Wednesday 16 November at 9.30pm will be permanently unavailable. They are very sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.
All clips, playlists and content requested before the outage are unaffected.
In recognition of the inconvenience this technical issue may have caused (and because it is heading towards Christmas) they have upped all user daily recording limits from 10 to 15 until the New Year.
We’re currently experiencing an issue on the BoB programme guide, where users can’t request some broadcasts. The supplier apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. They’re working hard to get this fixed, and will have an update on this for you soon.
All clips, playlists and previously requested programmes are unaffected and accessible.
