October 2016 is Black History Month. Also known as African-American History Month in America, Black History Month is an annual observance in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom for remembrance of important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated annually in the United States and Canada in February, and the United Kingdom in October.
The Library provides many excellent resources to assist research into contemporary history and civil rights, including, from HeinOnlein, the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and, from Oxford University Press, the Journal of Human Rights Practice. We also provide a wealth of valuable databases including ProQuest's Political Science and, of course, from EBSCO, Academic Search Premier.
