You now have access to two additional parts of the Digimap service.

Digimap Historic provides access to the valuable historic Ordnance Survey map collection online. The maps are digital scans of Ordnance Survey paper map sheets including:

  • all available National Grid maps at 1:1,250, 1:2,500 and 1:10560/10,000 scales published from 1945 and before the introduction of the Ordnance Survey's digital Land-Line product in the 1990s
  • all available Town Plans at 1:500, 1:528 and 1:1,056 scales published from 1848 and 1939
Digimap Environment provides access to Land Cover Map data from the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. Three sets of data are available
These two new collections, as well as current Ordnance Survey map data, are available both on and off campus here : http://edina.ac.uk/Login/digimap?idp=https://fam.salford.ac.uk/oala/metadata
