SMPTE Digital Library trial

The SMPTE Digital Library is currently on trial with the Library.

This resource will be available until 10 December 2013.

You can access the resource from on-campus by going here http://library.smpte.org/

If you don't know, the SMPTE is the  Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and their Digital Library offers :

  • SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal - providing peer-reviewed, practical application articles on topics in 3D, imaging processing, display technologies, audio, compression, digital cinema and much more. Published 8 times annually, the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal is a view in the technical world of motion imaging science.
  • SMPTE Conference papers - providing peer-reviewed papers that are focused on current technical problems and provide the industry with the latest technical content.
  • SMPTE ANSI-approved Standards - SMPTE is the leading standards development body and internationally recognised for motion imaging standards. SMPTE abides by the ANSI and ISO due process for initiating, approving, revising and removing standards.Individuals and organisations from around the world come to SMPTE to develop standards that are adopted by manufacturers, broadcasters and studios.
