Tips for reading DawsonEra eBooks

1.  Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed.  To download this go to http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/reader.html
  • this is especially important if you are using Windows 8 or a Mac
  • note that DawsonEra eBooks are not currently compatible with Windows RT

2.  Adobe Reader should also be set as your default PDF viewer

  • For Internet Explorer, there are instructions here here

3.  Make sure your browser is set to open PDFs within the browser, and not in a new window. 
  • For Adobe XI, there are instructions for various browsers here
  • For earlier versions of Adobe Reader, go to Edit > Preferences > Internet and make sure that the Display PDF in Browser option is ticked

4.  To download an eBook to an Android device, iPad or iPhone, make sure you follow the instructions here
