Scopus release free iphone app

Scopus have released an iphone app which allows you to find articles, create alerts, make notes, and share links instantly.

It's available for free from Itunes and there's lots of information on the app on the Scopus website.

You will need to set up a personal account on Scopus to be able to use the app (unfortunately you can't use your Athens account). If you haven't already got one, follow the steps below to create one:

  • Go to www.scopus.com within your institution
  • Register online and set up a new username and password. Watch the tutorial on how to register at scopus.com (note that Flash is not supported by iPhones so please watch it from your desktop or laptop).
  • Use this same username and password with the Scopus Alerts (Lite) app on your iPhone and use your institutional email address (e.g. name@university.ac.uk) to log in.
